This Thursday June 17th, Island Mountain Arts opened an exhibition of Bill Featherston's work to the public. Thank you to all who attended the gallery opening!
Bill Featherston was originally from Toronto, though he lived and produced work in Europe for fifteen years. As both a war veteran and a peace advocate, Featherston used his art to express disdain for corporate agendas embedded within military action. His recent work addressed the politics and trauma of what he called "The New World Order".
This Featherstone collection is on display until July 17 at the Island Mountain Arts Gallery in Wells. Come by during regular business hours (10-6, Tues-Sun) to see a variety of Featherston works, from oil on canvas paintings to screenprints.
