Artist Talk: Evelyn Armstrong

Join us at the IMA School to listen to artist Evelyn Armstrong discuss her work. This event is by donation.

Evelyn Armstrong is a multimedia environmental artist. She graduated with Honours in Lithography from the Vancouver School of Art and Design (now Emily Carr University of Art and Design). She completed her MFA at Vermont College, a MA in Liberal Studies (2007) at Simon Fraser University; and, she completed her PhD (2013) at the Institute for Doctorial Studies in the Visual Arts. With a particular interest in ethics, aesthetic engagement, and perception she has been researching the role of art and the artist in transdisciplinary theories on ecology and climate change. She has presented her eclectic work and ideas at related conferences. Her exhibition record is extensive and she has received numerous awards both for her community work and as an artist/teacher.
