Workshop Description:
Slapstick humour has been around since the first human beings laughed at someone slipping on a banana peel. Through, Greek and Roman theatre, 16th century Commedia dell’arte, silent movies and present day cartoons, the performance of slapstick comedy has been considered among the more difficult tasks facing a performer. This 4-hour workshop will cover many of the aspects of physical humour including character development, timing and use of props, stringed, woodwind, brass and percussion instruments. Open to all ages young and old.
